This week I taught a brief, basic lesson about Thanksgiving to all my students. Then, after the lesson, I gave them all a colorful, paper leaf and asked them to write down some of the things they were thankful for.
Here are a few good ones for you (with some very minimal editing):
I’m thankful for…
•my parents, candy, sweet, clouthers, educational, my family, notebook, phone, camera, my dog, new interesting books, smile, possibilities
• my mom ‘n’ dad, my hard but interesting life, GIRLS, my dreams, hope they’ll come true
• my life!
• mam and dad, for my sister, and all what around me, for perrot, my ears, nous, mouse, legs
• for my parents, because they gived me life
• mam, dad, my sister, for you, Lora, and my friends
• my dear parents. I’m thankful for my teachers. They loven me and I love they. They teach me love my life.
• my good friends, parents, techer, and other people for they love me, understanding, for the learn, the information about the world, the friendships, for me it’s very important. So, thank you for everythink. I love you so mush.
• for family, life, friends and all that I have!
And my own:
I’m thankful for delightful students who make me smile, laugh, and want to be a teacher forever.
I’m thankful for my family. They have never doubted my choices to do wacky things like move to foreign countries and they have been unflinchingly supportive and loving my entire life.
I’m thankful for my friends — both here in Ukraine and back in America. Whether I talk to them every day or just a few times a year, I wouldn’t want to live life without them.
I’m thankful for having had the opportunity to serve as a Peace Corps Volunteer and I’m thankful for all the experiences in my life that have led me to this point. Whether they were good or bad, I wouldn’t trade anything I’ve ever done or anything that’s ever happened to me if it meant I wouldn’t be sitting here in this chair at my table in my room in Ukraine. For the last two years I haven’t doubted for one second that this is where I was meant to be and I’m so thankful that my life has led me to this point. Oh, how far a little love and little luck go.
Happy Thanksgiving!
Wonderful blog. Again. Hearing about the sweet things your students say and do NEVER gets old. They are awesome, as are you. We have you all in our thoughts soo much this Thanksgiving. THIRD one without you..how is that possible??!!! We miss you and love you. You’re great.
